•  I was unable to open with a title card, sponsored by Nikon as I could not find a high enough quality image that would of made my promo look better
• Paul says 'nothing you do can push me away' this is a two shot where paul dominates the frame Paul takes up over 50% of the screen showing he is dominant in this relationship.
• My two shot of Paul and mercedes is similar to the original shot, I believe that Paul (Ste) is dominant in the shot showing he has all the power in the relationship
• They are in a house of the miss en scene shows a picture on the wall and we can tell from the light in the room there is a window
• Paul whole body is turned towards her and his eyes are locked on to her with her eyes looking down to avoid eye contact
• Non Verbal Communication is used when Paul is in her face and is threatening
• Her hair is covering her face helping to prevent eye contact she has a very negative body language

Where did soap operas orignate from?

“This dates back to the nineteen thirties and forties when the idea of having daily series on the radio started in America. Each day the story ended with melodramatic suspense and listeners had to wait until the next day to see the outcome of that particular part of the plot.

Who are they traditionally aimed at?

Soaps are aimed at and traditionally watched by females

Why are they nicknamed soaps?

These Dramas that were originally aired at the outset of Radio had for supporting advertisers Detergents companies because they were on so early (before noon) that only housewives and maids hear them as they were cleaning the house, washing dishes, doing laundry. In other words they could hear their favorite story as they clean the house. And the one constant of all these melodrama's as they jumped from radio to black/white television were it's detergent advertisers and hence the nickname "Soap Opera" was born.

What is the longest running british soap and when did it start?

Coronation Street began on TV in December 1960.
